Camera flash. I wondered the same thing at first.

That's odd lol I've never seen a camera flash turn something silver to gold

Could be the lighting in the area the photo was taken. You are right though, flashes are white, not yellow. So I retract my previous statement and go with, indoor lighting. I first looked at them and was all "wow, green and gold", thats new. I think the guy needs to post a better picture.

yeah i know he does cause I was like holy sh!t those look amazing! and now I'm like faaaaaaack. I wish they were gold and greenish blue rather than the silver and blue cause it looks a lot better IMO

The only ones Ive seen are the blue ones, the red in a white shield, and the ones posted in the threads (emblem sticky). I sent the seller a message for a better pic, cause he has them listed as blue, either the pic is bad or the description is. Not to say that a green and gold wouldn't be nice. Of course, if your handy I guess you can make it whatever color you want.

Yeah, he updated the auction page. From my guess he was using pics that were just pulled offline (or they were just a bad shot). But blue, that is what is in the "stock photo".

Thanks, I'm going to get them from the dealer in the spring.
The only reason I wanted it was for the green and gold colors but it was just the lighting kindasad.gif

I think that if your all about detail, you can get a beat ass emblem and make it what you want. I've seen some nice custom ones. I'm trying to get my hands on a used set and see what I can do with them. I'm looking at two right now, if I get a few to trial and error with I'll try a green gold combo. You'll be the first to know. I only have one now and got different plans for it (along with the 25th exterior emblems).

I know a guy that makes these in different colors. He might be able to customize colors if you want.

Those are done by hand, right? I have an idea of how these are colored/filled, but have not broken one down yet...if you could put me in contact with this guy, I have a few questions for him.

could you see if he could do a green and gold combo? more like a darker stained glass green and a dark gold

he makes lots of other emblems too. mostly for the 1st gen but we've seen them used on 6th gens as well. smile.gif
