Mine hasn't worked since I bought the car and I never really cared. But for some reason, I now really want it to come on. So my question is, do I have to remove that whole big panel from the hatch? Because I popped out that little door and was able to disconnect the light but couldn't figure out how to get to the bulb.

its tricky. you have to twist and pull the socket. it should come right out.
