Removing rear license plate bezel(coupe) - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #77401 2 posts Started by SupraKid
I just talked to a few people about removing the rear license plate bezel, and no one had a 100% answer.i did it on a coupe and im not sure if its different on the hatch or not. So here is how to remove it:

1: Remove the plastic strip above the latch. Just pry it upward as there are only 6 clips that hold it in.(also remove your license plate)

2.Remove tail lights(3 10mm bolts for the coupe)

3.Remove the 2 10mm screws on the to right and left of bezel(red is the clips, black is the bolts)
4.Push bezel arms inward so they disconnect from the body clips(very obvious)
5.Pull the 2 bottom clips out of the body of the trunk(still attached to bezel)

6.Remove the license plate bulb bulbs(spin them)

Install by just reversing the steps.
