Okay so I just bought a '94 Celica GT in Oct. 2010 and the owners before hooked up the battery backwards and fried a lot of wiring and fuses. I've replaced all of the fuses and almost everything works but my radio. The radio will turn on and play CD's and everything but there is NO SOUND coming from the speakers. I made sure that they are hooked up and I know that they aren't blown so I've run out of ideas as to why there is no sound. I'm driving to California in Feb. and really need my radio working by then. Any ideas?

check your fuses
probably the wires then
only other explanation or the radio could be messed up too.

Take the stereo out, and 1 of the speakers, and run the speaker directly off the radio..ORRR you wired it wrong when you installed the new headunit.
take it to a shop and have them look at it.

Keep in mind that the wires behind the radio are not the correct wires they go to the amplifier which is by the gas pedal or right foot area. You must get down there to use the actual wires from amp to speakers(cut them here) or there will be no sound.
