OK, so my clutch needs to be replaced. I figure i can do this myself or take it to a shop.
As far as mechanical experience goes i have done just about everything that isnt under the hood
.
Is this something that is easy enough to do with proper instructions?
If i do it myself, how do i select the clutch kit i need? comparing for instance Oreilly's stock replacement to ACT stock replacement there is a large difference in price, is there any benefit to this other than saying i have so and so's brand clutch?
Also, if i do take it to a shop should i bring in my own parts or just trust them to pick one? they always seem to mark up the parts quite a bit wherever i go.
As far as the engine is concerned this car only has an aftermarket air intake, so a stock clutch should be fine.
I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times, i couldn't find the answers to my questions using search.
Also, i just moved to Seattle recently, and i know some of you guys are here, i would be happy to drive somewhere and pay someone that knows what they are doing a fair price to show me how this is done. i would also appreciate any information on a good auto shop.
Thanks
