Shimless Conversion Question - 6G Celicas Forums

i have 3sgte gen 3 and i building it up and i have questin regerding shimless bucket conversion..

i think that the 3rd gen and 2nd gen ratainers are different..

so do i need 2nd gen retainer or it will work with my 3rd gen retainer?

2nd gen and 3rd gen both have different buckets and shims. either one can use the 1ZZ-FE shimmless buckets

Why would you do a shimless conversion, when the 3sgte is shim under bucket. Meaning it dosent have the problem of shims flying out under high RPMS. Then again to each his own....
