This year or the other, it doesn't matter. One day you have to come, and I hope it would be because of some Celica meet biggrin.gif
Good luck with the university.

Thank you, I will need the luck. wink.gif I still plan on moving back to Switzerland when I graduate, so sooner or later I'll make it to a meet. Maybe with GT-4, if there are still good examples to be found at that point.

Yesterday I had a holiday as I was expecting delivery of my new tires. So there was some time to work on my Celi and take some pictures.

New tires need new rims. As I'm pretty satisfied with my rims, I decided only for the colour change. I think, that the shiny black colour suits to the red paint on my car, so this is the result. Can't wait to see it on my car smile.gif

Ehm... the rims should use some polishing biggrin.gif
Celi looks awsome
How hard was the hood to modify to match the bumper

Thanks man!
I left the body-work on an expert, therefore it was very easy for me biggrin.gif. But from communication with him I know it was quite hard, as there are two layers of aluminum. You can't easily cut into the aluminum hood or weld other piece of aluminum to it to extend the hood. It is also risky to extend the edge of the front bumper, because the extended part may crack then, when closing the hood. That's why he used just hammer wink.gif
So the answer is, that it must have been difficult to fit the hood with the front bumper like this. It doesn's fit "perfectly" but it fits "very well". And I'm pretty sure he did maximum that he could and I'm very satisfied with the result.
Thanks for the info
I now no longer have the desirer to try that lol

Why not, man? If you know some good bodyman, he may do it well or more - he may find some better solution wink.gif
The spring finally arrived to Czech Republic, so I changed the wheels and I'm happy with the result. Only the car was quite dirty as I had no time to wash and wax it, so I was glad I have forgotten my DSLR at home biggrin.gif

I also ordered red aluminum wheel nuts (not installed yet) and received the branded kick panels from Vincent (already installed, thanks biggrin.gif )

Like the new lug nuts
Should be a nice little addition the the celica

looks great.

don't forget the tire shine when you wash and wax.
especially with black rims, you want the tires to look as good as the rims. smile.gif

A few weeks ago I realized how it looked with some tire shine and from then on I'm trying to keep the tires shiny wink.gif

Thanks man, it was a Czech idea, but not my own work, as I'm not so good in shaping of aluminum.

And the project will continue soon.... tongue.gif

how is it done? i was thinking a triangle piece from each side needs to be cut out and welded so it can fold down, but i cant see anything that suggests tampering?????????????

his body guy is obviously a genius i still havent figured out how he made this happen, if i do though i will have it on my preface.
I like the hood mod and color choice...looks really good!
Thanks to all, folks!
The body man was really skillful - nothing was cut out from the hood. Just a lot of precise hammering and some grinding wink.gif
And the color - it took me a few months to find the right one for my project. I saw it on one Lexus ISF and the searching was over biggrin.gif
And as I said, the project will slowly continue soon tongue.gif

7a BUILD! love it. what are you doing to it?
This looks great dude! Where did you get the TRD spoiler from please? I'm contemplating one for my GT4, but not having much luck finding one at all!

I'm still not decided yet. I wanted to supercharge it, but now I'm more inclined to go turbo. But for the start, general repair and cleaning of the engine and its parts is enough wink.gif

Thanks pal! I bought the TRD wing on e-bay in 2011 from Japan. It was a good luck and it fit into my project very well biggrin.gif Someone from 6gc.net asked me about it a few months ago and since then I couldn't find other one frown.gif

I can't find my records about measuring of the bolt holes. Unfortunately the holes were different from the ones for the euro style spoiler. And I'm affraid that it's also different from GT4 wing. The rear screws are going upright to the trunk lid, but the front ones are going to the lid under different angle. You have to drill an oval hole.
If I find my records or I'll manipulate with the wing, I'll measure it again and will let you know.

Of course I'm very happy that my car inspired someone to search for the TRD wing biggrin.gif I hope you'll get lucky to find one in good condition. I suggest to search in Japan, GB or Cyprus. I'll stay tuned wink.gif Thanks
First important parts for the rebuild are home. The next would be the ECU and then... ? biggrin.gif

Shinny! Looks like bundles of moneys. What rods are you going to use?

The best pistons Arias, I use that for many year, unbrekable.

I also ordered red aluminum wheel nuts (not installed yet) and received the branded kick panels from Vincent (already installed, thanks biggrin.gif )

Hey man take care with this nuts, I use that, and I went a wheel. And other friend had the same problem kindasad.gif kindasad.gif

The setup must be reliable and these pistons were recommended to me by a friend as the best solution. Regarding the rods, I'm not decided yet. The motor mechanic told me, that the stock ones are good enough for 200 Hp so I may stay stock here.

Thanks, the more satisfied users I know, the most I'm satisfied with the choose wink.gif
What does it mean "went a wheel" ? Does it mean you lost the wheel???
