Gas costs too much and i use the car on the freeway too much not to try and change the gear ratio.70mph at 3500 rpm is TOO HIGH,and i know the engine would keep the same speed at 2000 rpm,plenty of tourqe,hell i hardly ever downshift

Biggest I have ever run was a 205 65 16. It worked. I still went back to the shop that did it because i was supposed to have 55's.
you're not going to gain much. maybe a few hundred RPM at the most.

It was enough rpm's that it caught me off guard. My speedo was anywhere from 5-7 mph off, which can be a problem when your car says you are going slower than you are. This is how I noticed the shops mistake. I went from going with the flow in traffic to passing everyone on the highway.
My car on cruise control at 75mph is in the 3500 rpm range. Wish it had a 6th gear.

and i would think a inch taller tire would do wonders for the gearratio,cause it would be 2 inches on the total
