>heres my state law for window tint, when I went to the store to take a quick look at what they had i saw that they said 5, 15, 20, 30% not 70% so does that mean I would have to use 30%? Im a little confused
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used.
Percentage refers to the percent of light allowed to pass through the tint. In other words, 5% tint means only 5% of light can get through. 70% tint means 70% of light can pass. In other words, your state laws saw that you can basically black out the rear window but the sides and front have to be very light tint.
