Not saying it cant be repaired, but the costs might equal or exceed the cost of another celica. If insurance is jumping in, maybe just pay your deductiable and roll from there? Either way, sucks to see that happen to you.
Honestly, that celica might be lost. Get a bodysho quote. the fender replace is easy, but straightening those crumple zones may not be cheap..
for 1000 bucks you can get a celica shell and swap all the componets of your car. or 2000 get something cheap..
sorry, if it was me, ill prolly ditch it...
same thing happeened with a 1gc i bought, but that one is worth repairing. not many of those around.

id fix it. not that bad if you ask me. a fender and some other stuff...
well if theres a will theres a way lol. i totalled mine and wanted to fix it bought a shell and well now im gonna fix both. im in love with celicas!
Looks like that one is done for. The headlights, fender, and bumper would be easy fixes but like Noberto said, that crumple zone looks pretty bad. You should be able to find a shell pretty cheap though. I picked one up last year for $250, so just look around and be patient.

looks like the popular choice is to cut your loses. depends on the amount of frame damage . that upper headlight support looks really bad.

keep us posted.
good luck with your decision man!

FIX IT!
Its not that bad. All you need is a new headlight, fender and hood. You can get all of them cheaply on the forums here, saving you a lot of money.
Then remove the fender and front bumper from the car and take it to a body shop so that they can pull the upper radiator support back into shape. They have special machines that can do this for not a lot of money.
Seriously, there is no reason to get rid of the car. It can be fixed. Just do as much work as you can by yourself to save money.

>est repair cost is almost 4500 to have a body shop straighten the body... not going to be fixing it, hopefully i can find a shell or i will have to part out and get another dd

Thats the "insurance price" with them replacing all the body parts, painting them, etc... and charing you for every nut and bolt that they touch.
If you do the work yourself, you can have it fixed for around 1,000 bucks or less.

i could easily cut that section out of my parts car for you and you could just have someone weld it in (if you know someone that can do it cheap). I wouldn't pay 4500 for that, you can easily do more than half of the work yourself!

almost same damage, but my front rail was toast..

crumple zones crapped..
here is what it is now...

a shell might be an easier and safer option...

A come along, a tree, and a hammer and that will buff right out. I would say fix it and buy the parts here,
you will save a ton off new parts and might even find the right paint color.
JDM guy made me do it.
take the fender off and then asses it. the fender support may not be bent. if the upper headlight rail is bent, thats an easy drill out & weld on.
or a tree, sledge hammer, etc willdo it
