FS : Spree LED dash kits for all gen 6 Celicas - 6G Celicas Forums

Tested the new Pink LED's tonight for the new pink kit's for those that way inclined!



And fitted some amber side repeater LED's to my clear repeaters. I have plenty of the amber LED side repeater bulbs in stock now and can ship them worldwide for $11.99. There are 4 SMD LED's on each bulb and they look fantastic. I do not sell the clear repeater lenses unfortunately!

Have fun in Dubai.. A friend of mine literally JUST caught her flight back from there today. I'm hoping I'll be able to get an order in by Tuesday for my kit. Thanks for the offer to 6GC members!

I have had some interest in the pink kits now so here is a picture of the clock with the pink filter and the instruments in the background to show the color consistency.

The pink kits are also a couple of dollars more as the SMD's cost more to make. The kit price is $41.99 for pink.




And the main instruments themselves again.

Yeah I know. I would say its pink/purple too actually.

The led's themselves are supposed to be pink.

I kind of like it too.....what does this mean?

I posted your kit mate so I have done all I can do at my end.

Because I am a decent guy I will replace it for you if the postal service has lost it.

I am reluctant to do this too hastily though as no kit has got lost yet and some of them have taken up to a month to arrive.

I nearly sent one out before only for the other one to arrive with another guy on here.

I am going away for three weeks this week and if the kit has not arrived by the time I get back I will send you another out straight away. Today was my last day to work on these things so i apologise but it's the postal services fault, not mine! I will obviously be the one to lose out by sending you another and I would be tempted to send it via a more expensive recorded service.

Could anyone post a picture of the leds themselves? I would like to see what they look like from the kit to compare them with something I already bought.

No worries man, I'm gutted that your kit has not turned up yet and as I said , if this is still the case when I get back from Dubai, I will replace it immediately and throw in something else too for the hassle.

I use 5050 3 chip SMD's throughout. You can google these. ;-)

I was listening to news on bbc radio1 on my phone, what was it all about and glad to know your stuff is in good order. BTW I'm loving your kit, it's been some time since I installed them and its been great; always puts a smile on my face while I drive at night =)

Yeah man, crazy stuff. I bet you guys were quite surprised that this happened in the UK but it's a problem that has just been waiting to really show itself over here. It's a complicated thing but part of it is you take a growing number of directionless young people from poor backgrounds and bombard them with messages telling them that they are no good unless they have this bling and that latest gadget and that you need to spend £100 on a pair of trainers when most of them cant afford it......and this is the sort of thing that you can end up with...I wasn't really effected though as all the violence and looting was centered around shopping centers and we live in a residential area luckily.

Anyway, I'm really glad you are happy with the kit. I aim to please! :-D

Of course! I created this kit for myself and then everybody else on the uk gt4oc forum wanted one!

I own a 94' ST205 GT4 WRC by the way. ;-) I know it hurts for all you guys in america that can't import one and yes they are VERY fast and handle like a dream once you up the boost a little and stick a whiteline anti roll bar on the back to cancel out the standard understeer. You end up with a sub 5 second 0-60 car that handles like its on rails. Canadians will now know what I am talking about!

My car has now had countless comibinations of colours fitted to it and I don't even bother refitting all of the screws that hold the instrument cluster anymore as I will only change the bulbs again...

If you look on my website in the celica dash kit section, I still have the section that goes into the details of the nightmare that I had when I first wanted to change my dash to led's and had listened to the useless advice that I had found on the forums at the time. I ended up spending quite a bit on duff led's..

I've had some led's in the dash before... they begin to blink and burn out after a little bit of use.

I do a TON of night driving (sometimes i see the sunset and sunrise all from my drivers seat), maybe more than i do day driving..... will your kit hold up??

That is why I use smd led's. I have been using these on a day to day basis for three years now and have sold well over a hundred kits and none that I know of have burnt out. You get the odd faulty bulb now and then but on the whole but they do seem to last damn well and believe me, I would hear about it if they didn't.
I did find that the old style led's used to burn out pretty quick but they would also cause nasty bright spots and patches so I never used them for long anyway.

Yes I also had that problem with the bright spots and dark spots.... used to drive me mad, and eventually made me go back to regular incandescent bulbs just so i could see properly at night.
