Hey guys, I've been looking at pictures of other guys valve covers, and theirs is different from mine. I know the block is a 96, but the head I got from somewhere else. I remember it being a non-turbo head, and I put turbo springs and cams in it. It's just that my valve cover looks different. But I thought it would look the same as the gen3 turbo valve cover.

Well its kinda shaped like a Gen 3 3S-GE valve cover, I had that motor in my old Celica but I don't remember it having a gen 4 style coil on plug arrangement

they fit almost as if they were designed to fit. I was amazed at how perfect they fit in. There is a very very very tiny gap between the rubber o-ring type thing at the top that is supposed to sit flush against the valve cover. The R6 plugs already have a rubber ring around the top, so they just need another thin one for perfection. The guy I heard this from had them on a 2nd gen. Yamaha designed both heads, so I guess they used the same depth to the plug.

the only other things you would need with the coils is a pickup, a different igniter and an aftermarket computer.
In hindsight I should have tried to fit the oil pump housing from a newer 5sfe because it has a pickup in the timing cover.
