JDM Sidemarker/Repeater Wiring Question - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #78981 6 posts Started by KAOS
So I've read through this article: http://www.6gc.net/howto/install_jdm_sidemarkers which has been very informative.

However I have a question regarding the blinking pattern of the front turns, and the jdm sidemarkers...

I want the Sidemarker to remain off until I'm signaling; at which point I want them to blink opposite the front turns.

For example; when the front turns are lit - the sidemarkers aren't and vice versa...

What wires do I hook up where to get this to work?

I believe that you would have to wire a bunch more in. From what I know, the blinker relay would have to send power to one, then switch to the other one and so on to create that effect. I bet Dustin (batman722) would know more on how to do this. It could be very easy, but I know since our cars are not setup for it, you would have to run extra wires and rewire a few things.
I wired mine to my stock blinkers, but I think they werent alternating. Yea the sidemarkers are supposed to be off until you turn on the blinker. Don't be " omg mad tyte jdm yo" and have them always on l laugh.gif

If anyone needs info on the Toyota Curren feel free to PM me!

I don't want them to be on all the time, I just want them to alternate with the fronts...

Sounds like it might be too much to ask tho... kindasad.gif

time out, let me see if i get this, you want the front to blink, then you want the sides to blink correct?
Easy souloution, run a relay and for the switch side run it to where the turn signal power goes on and wire up everything else accordingly, should take a second for the relay to kick in

Yeah best bet would be adding a couple relays and rewiring, one circuit open one circuit closed kind of relay
