So the other day I was driving and listening to music when I herd a pop and then the front speakers kicked in. I suddenly realized that this whole time my front speakers never worked. So for about 3 minutes they were on and it sounded great, sadly they turned off again. I'm not sure what could cause the rear speakers to work and the front not to. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Ill post a video to show fading from rear to front speakers to show they don't work.

do you have a stock radio or an aftermarket radio?
stock radio, I think that may be the problem but I'm not 100%

yuck stock radio! lol
i just bought one at best buy for $60 for my new car, and its actually really good. There prob just a bad connection in the old wiring, or the radio itsself. id just get a new one and wire it in right

I had the same problem when i first got the car in 05, found out about it when it kicked in and sounded good, realized the stock OEM amp under the driver chair was defective, check this part.

Get on craigslist and get a new stereo, they are pretty cheap and stereos are pretty damn hard to break without there being exterior marks. Then when you rewire it, it will most likely fix the problem, if not just trace the line, i would imagine it would disconnect between the door and body. To test it just adjust the fader to the front.
I know theres some ok ones on amazon for around $50, think I should just but a new unit instead of trying to fix it now?
What do you think? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a head unit but something that works better so I can use my phone with it

get a new one. a radio without the ability to plug a phone or ipod in, is too old anyway lol
theres one at best buy (crossgates) for the same price too, if you dont want to wait on shipping, has the same things, plus a cd drive. there was like 5 of them when i went a few days ago to get mine

highly doubt its the radio... my stock front door speakers worked off and on for a few years then they finally quit completely, all while the rear speakers worked just fine... long story short, replaced the door speakers with after market speakers and those have been working 100% for over a year now
if anything you can check the connector that sits right on the speaker holder and see if its corroded or connector is not connected all the way...if not try new speakers(probly need them anyways if there stock) if that still fails just run new wire from doors to the radio..
Think I'm getting a free head unit from a friend; once that's in I'll go from there
