I have a vacume gauge that I use to check for things like loose vacume hoses and such, I have to hook it up in line on a vacume hose with the hood up and everything as you would imagine. It's not a very attractive thing at all. What I want to know anybody has one for in-car placement that looks decent, I asked the a guy about it at a performance shop saturday and he said I could use a boost guage but I don't believe a word he said. Can somebody help me out.

I'm not positive, but I'm almost sure that all a mechanical boost gauge does is measure the vacuum in a certain part of the engine. I have no idea which part though.
Which vacuum hose are you wanting to monitor, and why?

New Toyota project coming soon...
Well I found out it was a leak around the throttle body so I don't need the gauge anymore.
a boost gauge reads vacuum as well
