How much could you do on the rear hatch with glass, spoiler ect for? I'm interested if it's Renaissance Red I can pick it up too!

Hey John, you can have the hatch for free, but the spoiler is already called for. Those things are a dime a dozen though, if you want to pick up the hatch and buy a spoiler somewhere else. Or we can do a switch, I'll put the red spoiler back on if you pick up a black '94-95 spoiler. However you want to do it, if you decide you want to do it.

If I could convince my stepdad to let me borrow his trailer this could be the start of my very own beams project haha. I mean I understand you can drive the redtop, and have the lexus, but given that you've already purchased the black beams and have a 5s, are you just tired of dealing with this car? jw - but GLWS anyway

Yeah, you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. When I finally get the motivation to work on the car, I don't really get anything done. So I always end where I begin and that makes it difficult to care to go work on the car. Especially when the black BEAMS is so much nicer than my blue car and then there's the Lexus. It just makes it difficult to care about the Celica that doesn't run. I'm thinking about selling it and picking a Celica up that already runs. Just to make things easier, you know? I've had this car for a year and a half and basically, nothing has changed. It still sits in my yard and still doesn't run. I'm making enough money to get it running again, I just don't care to put the time into the car. It should go to somebody who will either invest the time to get it running or else invest the time to at least part it out or something.

What kind of bodywork is needed? Is the transmission still there? Good clutch? This might be a very good project for me.

The car has several small dings, but no dents. The clearcoat is peeling on the hood, roof, and front bumper, so it needs paint. The dings are easily fixed when you go to paint. Both high beams are cracked but not leaking, somehow. I have replacement high beams from the parts car if somebody spends a little extra money. The body is straight, no accidents whatsoever. There is a small rust spot on the bottom of the driver's door but it's surface rust, not rusted through by any means. The transmission is good and the clutch was replaced about 10,000 miles ago, still good. As far as the motor work, we broke the rear motor mount when we were doing the BEAMS swap so we pulled the rear mount from this car to use on the BEAMS so this car needs a new rear mount ($50 from AutoZone or Ebay) and whoever buys this car, if they buy the motor, would probably be better to pull this motor out and start over from scratch, dropping it right back in. The shell has 186k on it and the motor is from a '98 Celica and has 196k, still running great when we pulled it out June 18th. I do not have any of the accessories hooked up (radiator, axles, power steering, clutch line, etc.) The motor will not start right now because the ECU isn't getting power. I haven't the slightest idea why, and I can't find the time or motivation to find out why. I'm sure I just missed a plug somewhere or something simple like that.

Well I'm thinking about dropping the motor from my 94 in it since my wife don't want me selling the car. She wants a 3sgte in the current celica. Are the axles on? Tranny still in place? I'll talk to the wife as this would be great.for learning and winter.

The motor and tranny are in place, but the axles are still in the boxes in my garage. I need to pull the carrier bearing bracket from my parts car to go with the motor in case somebody buys the motor with the shell.

How much with motor? With new axles? Both front needed new axles? What about wheel bearing? That would still need replaced?
