running vac line for boost gauge... - 6G Celicas Forums
you can route it the same way you would an amp power wire, but make sure it cant be pinched, or rubbed through

i figured i could do that, its not a big deal that the hose is a bit longer because of it? will the reading still be accurate with a longer hose?
its still going to read pretty accurate

im not sure how much the LHD and RHD firewalls differ from each other but on the RHD under the drivers side there is a hole that you can use to run it through. it has a rubber grommet in it already with wires so you should be able to find it (if its there on LHD). and ^^he is right its should still be accurate pressure is felt equally through the entire system.
pic? i dont see any grommet on the RHD side. there is one on the passenger(LHD side) that i ws going to put it through
for a left hand drive car it would be on the passenger side its below and a little to the right of the master cylinder area.
i have a rhd, is it different?
oh then it should be on the drivers side, down and to the right of the master cylinder area. lol
i went back a read my previous post and it didnt make sense. if the car is LHD and the hole is on the passenger side then how is the master cylinder right above it lol

if its the one i think youre talking about, theres no way of getting anything in it. anyways, i just ran it through the same place on the passenger side as i did my amp power wire. running stock psi between .8 and .9 bar...
yeah it should be .9 in all gears but 1st that is .7, once you put an exhaust and downpipe on it itll go up those. i think toyota did it on purpose, making there wastegate too small so its over boosts once you open up the exhaust. itll go up but it has yet to hit fuel cut for me. i get .9 in 1st and 1.1 in all others.
at what bar/psi does fuel cut hit at? youre right, i get .7 bar in first gear. when i get my boost controller i want 16 psi, that equals about 1.150 bars, no?
