Hi looking at the Power FC , It is Used so it might be already programmed
I know that it is a plug and play system, it has know hand controller with it
Looking for some reviews on them? Was it hard to find a tuner for the Power FC
My setup stock 3sgte 3rd GEN , 3" Turbo back Stage 4 clutch 3" K&N
was looking at get Piggy-back but maybe get the Power FC
I think that to change the map you need a datalogit from apexi and that the Hand commander has some limited capabilities I might be wrong though I am looking at getting the PFC and not the datalogit
What I think when you think I care
I personally don't own a power fc yet but it forms part of my project for later. The power FC already has a base map for the st205 (if u have the st205 engine) as it has a base map for some other engines aswell. It is really difficult to get the perfect tuner. For the time being u may take advantage of the basemap and gradually learn how to control n tune it yourself...thats what am planning to do...follow some courses on ECU tuning. Heard that Motec gives courses on its website, but unfortunately its not something u'll learn in one day.
i have a power FC on my 550 HP 7th gen celica. its a very good system. the commander (hand controller) is very limited but can be used to tune. Apexi does not make Datalogit, its by a group from NZ. there is also another software called Copilot. Read this thread
http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=258454 it will explain most of the PFC details, it is 2ZZ-GE related but most stuff will be the same.

Ive got one (a mr2 Power FC Pro), straight plug in to AUD Group A Rallye gtfours (not sure if JDM has the same pinout as ADM or not).
Pretty happy with it, plug and play makes life so much easier.
They do everything you want from an ecu, they are pretty common, which is a bonus when finding a tuner who has experience with your ECU (which is not vital but very nice)
As has been said the Commander isnt that technical, you can tune with it, but most tuners prefer datalogit.
They are handy though if you are lending your car to someone (or valet parked, getting it transported etc) for limiting the revs (to say 2k for example) so people cant flog (ie drive hard) your car behind your back.

You should call ATS. Those guys LOVE the Power FC!
