Is it just me or has that emulated the iPad in a huge way? :unimpressed:

I like the ease of use for file transferring and uploading, but I'm not a fan of GUI like the windows phone has. So we'll have too see what the PC version will be like.

Looks to be almost the same as 7..They just added the touch snap thing. And idk about you guys but ive NEVER used windows media center or half the crap on 7(i do use the voice typing from time to time).

Regardless, good find Mosley.

Well played. The iPad is useless, I agree, as are iPod Touches. But as far as user interface and the way that video shows Windows 8 working, it mimics an iPad in a big way. I don't see anything that clever with it. I suppose that's typical any new OS right now though.

I'm using the Developer Preview right now and I have to say it's a nifty little piece of kit; like Windows Phone 7 on my desktop. I can see it being very popular with the current set of people who buy things because they're "easy".

I like the direction windows is going in, Windows seems to have captured it's own style with this. I would give it more R&D before buying one again though. On a side note I use linux so my guess is that my next computer will dual boot this new windows and linux. =)

Also just keep mac out of here, im sick of hearing about that non-innovative, suing, un-compatable, company in every thread.

Notice about half way though it shows the normal windows 7 display and whatnot..Which leads me to believe that snap different looking thing is just like the current windows media center...

My main rig is still running XP/10.04 Ubuntu LTS, other box Win7/11.04 Ubuntu. Laptop runs Xubuntu 10.04LTS...and that's all it can run. I don't think I'll be changing to Win8 anytime soon.

Tried to load it up via VMWare on my mac, but it hates the virtual environment. I got bored and went back to OS X.
