Fuel regulator - 6G Celicas Forums

Hi all... I was wondering wether it was advisable to change the st205 fuel regulator and opt for a new one like Sard or Aeromotive? Is there anything to gain in terms of power or smoothness? Im asking this because some people advised me to stick to my stock FPR, claiming that getting another FPR would not benefit me in anyway. BTW im actually doing a approximately 300hp. My only fuelling upgrade is a newly installed Walbro 255 lph.
Thnx for helping:)
Getting toward 300 bhp is getting near the limit of your stock fueling system, but you should be fine with the standard equipment for now. If you plan to make more power in the future then I'd recommend getting a Fuel Cut Defencer so that you're capable of turning up the boost. Once you've done this you should probably look at higher cc injectors and a fpr.
you will gain nothing by going to an aftermarket FPR except a dent in your wallet. now if you are making changes like bigger injectors, larger fuel pump, big boost, then an aftermarket will suit you better than the stock one on the rail.

Ok fine. I better stick to my stock FPR for the time being then. But Im already running big boost(1.2 bar and will soon go up to 1.4 as i have forged interiors - awaiting higher octane fuel) and larger fuel pump. I don't think I will change my injectors that soon but will do it in the future. What about the rail? Get an aftermarket 1? any idea?

I have an Apexi AVCR. Im currently running a maximum of 1.2 bar of noost. Will soon turn to 1.4 bar, am i still going to need n FCD? Bcoz with my AVCR i can go up to 1.5 bar (not safely though).
