Ok I opened my hood to change my valve cover gasket and paint my valve cover, until i noticed a loose wire near my driver side fender and firewall..

My question for you guys is what is this wire to and what's its purpose. Thanks for your input and help!

Doesn't look OEM, looks like an add-on signal wire for something. The connector has both sides attached, but no wire on the one end.

Some thing for an alarm, definatly aftermarket.

especially where it goes into the firewall like that, not OEM.
