hey guys i was just wondering im trying to change the lights in my climate control cluster and ive got to the point where I have undone all the front screws and all that keeping it from coming out is something thats attached to the back. Any idea on how i disconnect it?
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Need to unhook the two cables, one from under the hood and the other by the gas pedal. Are you installing a Spree kit?

I just did this process and took photo's of the whole thing. Lemme upload them and I'll see if I can help.

Ok, here is a pic showing where the inside cable attaches to. It's the blue one and you can see it if you crawl into your foot area on the driver side.

Take that one off, as well as one that is under the hood next to your master cylinder that looks similar just black. It's on the firewall. At that point, the whole thing should slide forward.

Then you've got a bunch of hidden screws. (don't pull it forward too far or it'll be a pain in the ass to get the cables back on the hooks.)

This should help with any hidden screws:
Top screws:

Bottom screws:

Back screws (those hold in the nobs and whatnot, they still need to come out. I almost broke my HVAC trying to pry it apart because I didn't realize these were here):

Then it should pop apart and look like this:

I've got more photos on the process in this album:

I never did mine like the sticky, all i did was remove the center console dropped the sides and unhooked the cables from the climate control, more than enough space, did it twice.

I dont like to touch the one in the engine bay side (black wire). The blue wire is easy its just right there at the gas pedal.

Nothing wrong with touching the cable in the engine bay. Just as RabidTRD shows in his photo's is the best way. You just unhook the cables from near the gas pedal and the other one in the engine bay and this allows the climate control to move forward enough to take it apart. Piss easy.

I stand corrected mate! We all find our own way to do things. :-)
