What should I go to school for... - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #811 11 posts Started by Cody
I've put off going back to school for a year and a half now...only because I couldn't decide what I want to do. I narrowed it down to cars, of course. So, should I go for auto body, or to be like, a mechanic? I mean, who makes more money, of course.
I've thought about many things that i could possibly do. Being an automechanic or body is not bad at all, they make alot of money and also, if you have discounts to other stores than you could rip other people off making them pay full price ya know what i mean?>smile.gif>

Job INterest:

Construction worker
Welder
Automechanic
Graphic Designer
Web Designer
...Or anything computer related. That's all i could think of for now

I thought about a job in computers, and everyone says I should go into it, but it's so damn boring...
I have a friend who just landed a job with AUDI at a dealership in flordia... hes startin at 15+ and hour with full benifits and a 2 dollar raise in 90 days as a mechanic... he had to go to AUDI's school to do it but it took him less than a year to do all of the schooling and now hes bankin

99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =)
I agree. Totally losted interest when i entered C++ II. PLus there are many people who are familiar with computers now anyways so the pay might not be as high as it used to be.
C++ is BORING (sleepy time) And NoObOne is right, a lot of people DO know a lot about computers now. And I'll tell you why. The dumb*ss computer companies like DELL (dude you're gettin a dell) and Gateway (cowbox) are putting how-to cd's, fix-it yourself and cd's like that in the box with the computer. DUUUUHH. Everytime they do that they are losing money, cause they could be charging customers $50/hour to have someone go out there and fix it. And drink there pop.

I just remembered some big buck jobs, Underwater Welding! I heard you get 500$/hour or something like that, i'm not sure. Does anyone know anything abou that?

Or you could go become a fisherman in Lousiana for 6months(other 6=no work),...get paid alot.
That job with Audi sounds cool. How would you get into something like that?
