bought some spree leds in white, but my needles are not bright at all, infact theyre probably dimmer then
they were before , can someone help me? i was told since they are polarized they only work one way so im guessing this is the only way , but that
can't be right

it's definitely dimmer because your gauge overlay things are so bright. if you didn't have those, they would be perfectly fine

no its not the dimmer, the dimmer is all the way up, the reason the gauges are bright is because they
dont work off the dimmer they have their own power supply and cannot be dimmed

I meant the white LEDs are dimmer BECAUSE of your gauge overlay things. Those are so bright that they dull the other color out. My friend has those in his camry and it's the exact same way.

dont seem to be facing the right way and I think the main problem is the gauge face you have

the thing is i had it without the gauge face , and it barely lit up any numbers it was mostly dark / and black couldnt see anything
hence my gauge faces

Ah. Well then you've got another issue somewhere. I'm not sure how the installation works, but does the dimmer's position upon installation of the LEDs have any effect on their function? I realize LEDs can't be adjusted...

LEDs can be adjusted, just not like nromal bulbs, and yes the stock dimmer bottom has an effect on the LEDs just like on stock bulbs, but if you use teh dimmer to control the light output of the LEDs, you will kill them prematurely.

if your stock gauges were just as dim before the aftermarket faceplate, you have either

- not found the stock dimmer switch
- have a problem with your circuit board and is not sending enough power to the bulbs.

When I was installing mine I put one in wrong and it looked awful...quick fix later and they are and have been perfect.

This is what my white bulbs look like installed on car with normal dial faces and this photo was taken during the daytime so its deffo not the case that the bulbs themselves are dim in any way I can assure you!
