someone please help me to get this black part surrounding my shifter off. i need to place a washer on my short shifter, and i need to access it directly

Might be better off removing the assembly?

hmm i dont think it would be , cause the install is basically done just needs to be bolted downn, and i was just informed of a place i can go
to get the washer i need

its a bit of work and too fully remove it u need your a/c controls taken out and that's a pain...id try to make it work without removing it, i just did my short shifter without removing it.
