Rear Interior Custom Sub Boxes - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #81323 6 posts Started by xlee
I've looked hard on the net and can't seem to find too many Custom made interior sub boxes.

If you have any flushed out designs for the hatchback version, please feel free to post. I need some ideas on how to start this project. i plan on 2 amps, and 1 sub, with 6.5 components in the front and back. I'd like the trunk to look real nice, carpeted to match the celica's carpet and no signs of wires hanging everywhere.

Oh, and i'd like to keep the spare tire as well, maybe a system/design that can be easily taken out in case of a flat tire.

thx,
im planning on doing 2 tens in my 94 coupe, ill keep you posted on my design if itll help you out at all in the hatch. what size sub are you puting in the back? im going to make my sub box flush the entire way around in the opening of the back seat.
Ive thought of getting two barrel enclosers and mounting them on the rear seats with the amps mounted towards the middle, kinda like this:
I= speaker/encloser
#= amp

I# #I
If that makes sence, that way you can have acsess to the spare as well as room for whatever

They sell custom color and such fiberglass ones online.

That fit in my trunks, atleast the hatchback. Work the fiberglass from there, and it'll be custom enough =)

My plan atleast, these 2 12's in this wooden box are to heavy..but thats some time away.
Its not a custom sub enclosure but it is *custom* The first modification I did to my car and I honestly dont think or know of anyone else on here who has this setup. But if Im wrong I would love to see pics of others.

Heres mine for another idea:

I took my idea from another member on here (forget who atm) but he made a fiberglass enclosure to go inside the spare tire section and had a full flat boot.
Could make one out of wood like i did, keeping the spare tire, and do a fiberglass overlay over the top to make it flush... i dunno haha,
Check my thread for the steps i did if you need tongue.gif
