The thing sounds like it has a supercharger and appears to be less noticeable when the engine is cold?? any ideas?

Mine does the same thing, and alli my fluid levels are fine. Has something to do with the belts. Possibly a little too tight. I wosuldn't worry about it.
i have the same problem at high speeds(55+),every says your cars supercharged?lol.after i replaced water pump and timing belt that when the whinning soundcame.
The belt's too tight man and it sucks because if it's too loose, it raps the timing cover somewhere until it heats up. Either way, it's a no win situation. It sounds exactly like a supercharger and at idle it sounds like a couple wires scraping around inside a tin can.

I had a buddy loosen my belt to get rid of the wine. The rapping of the belt is better IMO and it goes away in a couple minutes after the car starts to warm up.
