misfire - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #81794 6 posts Started by jccelica
My car has a misfire so I unplugged each one of my injectors one at a time with the car running and noticed a difference in every cylinder except for cylinder 4
Cyl 4 is misfiring

could be a plug wire, plug itself, or less likely the injector or wiring

Agreed, pull plug #4 and then check for spark.
If no spark from the plug, take the plug out, and do the ole (rubber handle) screwdriver and 1" from the engine trick to see if the spark jumps. If no spark, just change the wires, plugs, cap and rotor and be done with it. It probably needs to be done if it's been a while anyway.
