2012 Celica odometer check in - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #81967 72 posts Started by SupraKid
95 ST stock, 248k, 208k on engine (friend drove it while out of oil). Owned since 117k miles.

Original trans has worn bearing that leaks oil, havent put oil in the tranny for 80k miles and still runs like a champ. Everything works on the car (even AC). Factory everything; only replaced regular maintenance items, starter, alternator, CV shafts, clutch, coil and shortblock. Never once has it not started or left me stranded. This is the best car I have ever, and will probably ever own!

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
wow a couple over 300k. thats pretty impressive

Just over 300000 miles. Turned the 300k on my way to Manny for the new 3s transplant.

I am at 203683 kilometers and now the factory installed clutch needs replacement other than that is drives good
219xxx on the body and motor of my 97 ST... comparably, my brother has about 217xxx on his civic of the same year and my dad only has roughly 140xxx 88 f-150.. *I say "roughly" bc its got a problem with a gear in the trans that doesnt let the odometer record miles anymore. That thing looks like a heap of junk and has a few minor issues like the one previously mentioned. You cant kill that truck, even if you shot the block close up with a 12-gauge, it still probly wouldnt stop

And what about engine rebuilds/swaps? Is it counts from zero (new engine) / mileage of swapped engine or continue with original counting (chassis age)?

No more replicas... This is evolution... This isSS-four:)________[Featured Celica of 6gc.net @ 2010]_________
360,000 that was the last time i drove it sence it became my non daily. all original, no engine swap, rebuild, or trans. just basic things such as water pump, fluids, ect.. bowdown.gif 5s-fe

Now in the vicinity of ninety-nine thousand and a quarter. Mileage flies when your commute becomes longer...

At this point, I've increased the mileage by 50% during my ownership. I'm adding mileage at a rate 43% higher.

120,000 miles
70,000 of those miles are on the 2nd gen 3sgte! smile.gif

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
Car is at 153,000 miles. Driving it daily now (sadly) but it's only a 20 mile round trip every day, so it's ticking by slowly. 2nd Gen GTE has approx 75K miles on it now, went in with 60K and the body at 136K.

You only put 15K on yours all this time? Wow!
It will last you a while. I'm surprised that mine is still going strong with zero issues at 70k, with the exception of my clutch finally slipping. Toyota really does build great engines/cars.

should be nice to have an anwser , my turbo on my 3sgte is stock , the engine is maybe 110 000km, i wonder how long it can last,
if i never stop the engine after boosting whitout let it run for 2 or 3 minute, to keep some oil in the turbo while it spin, i think it can be good for a long time

got 283 000km on the body so far
