hello guys i am wondering what size intercooler i must to put on my toyota celica st205 for 350 hp.i am trying to make the lag of turbo smaller
intercooler size - 6G Celicas Forums
the lag of the turbo smaller? with a water cooler? dude what lag are you talking about ? lol I know that its a bit restricted but never heard of it being laggy or are you with a FMIC?
What I think when you think I care
Just go with the standard 300x600x76mm core (not including end tanks)
I'm using one that size and it fits neatly behind the front bar.
Don't worry about lag from going top mount intercooler to front mount intercooler, its a non issue (meaning it makes fnck all difference).

Anyone know if this kit is actually worth it?

The end tank shape on that intercooler is not ideal.
the bend coming off the turbo is pretty tight too, i wouldnt want to have that hard of a bend with my piping

My opinion buy a decent aftermarket 600x300x76 core size intercooler and take it to either a fabricator, a performance car workshop or maybe a radiator place and get them to custom make some piping with the turbo clocked (meaning the turbo outlet faces down) and you don't have that big sharp angle pipe in the front right corner of your engine bay

Hi,
the oem intercooler should be fine for your application, possible a TTE group a spec intercooler is a option for you
to raise the performance of the water to air system go for a higher water amount, i drive 1:1,5 (anti freaze:water)
this is what i did first until i would spent money
if a minimum lag is your target you should stay with the top mounted intercooler and in front of that you are from cyprus i would guess
that outside temps are pretty high, so consider a water injection (a good adjusted system is able to reduce engine lag)
greetz

KEEP COOL UNDER PRESSURE
In my opinion the lag difference between top mount and front mount is negligible.

thats the worst intercooler/piping setup ive ever seen

wich one you mena Delusionz??
for 350bhp use an intercooler off of an evo anything from 5 upwards will be more than sufficient, also clocking your turbo is highly reccomended.
