Thought i'd sign up and firstly say a big hi to all the awesome celica enthusiasts and secondly let you know theres a supercharged 5s on your forum.
Unfortunately i am not a 6th gener( im a 5th), thus i wont post any pics incase anyone gets offended since this is a 204-205 site, but essentially we run the same engine so i dont see it as too big a deal as long as im not 5th gen biased, right?

But im trying to hunt down the other RIPPMODDS cars/owners, AND some enthusiasts in the QLD/Brisbane area!

I had a bit of luck finding a bloke named alltrac96 in america with 1 of the 8 kits on his 204, so i assumed 6gc would be the best place to start.

If anyone has questions about the S/C set up feel free to post away, also any info regarding those other rippmodds guys, links/pics/word of mouth etc please let me know!

i have been looking for a rippmdds SC for a long time as well. I swear I saw one pop up at one point in time.

around 2009 it surfaced then disappeared again.

Are these kits discontinued and how reliable has this kit been? Heard about it a while back and forgot about it until now.

they made these kits prolly 6-8 years ago, they looked solid, just needed some tuning and what not iirc.
they wernt cheap, and they didnt sell more than a handful of them.

They are discontinued, originally went for around 4 grand from ripp, none of the camry guys wanted to pay up when it was finally available so only 8 were made.

Heres an old pic of my set up. I changed my intake piping, bov, and other misc things since this photo, id take a current put of it now but its dirty as.

This kit is very solid. World of difference from a stock 5s or 3sgte, feeds off the torque and has boost power throughout the rev range with no lag, very linear.
Also has pretty good fuel ecomony. if they were still around i would undoubtedly recommend them.
If you can convince a minimum of 10 people RIPP said they would bring them back into production.

looks like a nice kit, i do have to question the amount of power lost through the driveshaft powering the SC unit, and it looks very similar to the trd superchargers on the newer celica/corolla engines wonder if one could be retrofitted onto a 5s or 3s
