you guys know about the twist in brake calipers audis have, i need ur help with those

i was trying to replace them today, got all the right parts.
got the brake caliper tool, problem is that the piston is pushed so far out that the took isnt fitting in inorder for me to push/twist it inn.

im stuck now because my old pads were soo worn that one of them fell out already (it wasnt there when i took the wheel off) the other side had decent amount left. dont know why only ONE SIDE of the ONE ROTOR went out

anyways; is there anyother way to push the caliper in? even a little so that the tool fits, i need about 2cm

Try getting one of the square ones, not the worm twist ones. That is the kind that you can put an extension on and a 3/8ths ratchet.

when i worked on my cousins 97 prelude with the twist-in caliper pistons, i just used a pair of needle nose pliers with the pointed ends pushing against the grooves on the piston and then i twisted the piston inwards. that's back-yard improv for ya.

you need the one with double threads to push it in like a clamp and to turn the piston. Personally I'd just replace the caliper, those tend to seize up.

Thats the cube. It costs like $5 at autozone or Advance Auto.

Or you can use this:

But that's probably what you're already using.

The cube goes into the grooves and then you put a 3/8's ratchet in the end where the square is (or an extension) and turn it.
