1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition@gt4.wrc on Instagram
Speeds for my standard (apart from the Magic Tree!!) 94 UK GT.

3rd gear 100mph >smile.gif>
4th gear 120mph >smile.gif>
5th gear 145mph >smile.gif>

It's got 85k (ish) on the clock and runs like a dream.

If anybody would like proof of this let me know and I'll go up the road with the camcorder and get back to you.

To find out how fast your car goes, choose a nice quite road with good visibilty and stamp on the loud pedal, it's a Celica, the cunning Japs put a rev limiter to let you know when your going fast enough

My '95 ST tops out at 130mph (210km/h); but it really isnt comfy driving at that speed, engine is at 6300rpms then.
(tested it in Germany, no limits on highways there)

as for performance mod, the only thing changed is the cat has been taken out.
For all the weight related info, just look in the door. You will find curb weight, original tire size, transmission code, paint code... According to Henry's site(henryvo.com), the ST Liftback weighs 2415(man)/2495(auto). The ST Coupe is the lightest at 2395(man).
damn i have a 95 st and with 182,xxx miles on it im scared to go over 100 cause my car begins to shake so i dunt try pushing it past 100mph but i would like to try! o yeah at 4,000 rpm i only hit 80mph is that strange?
My 97 GT automatic topped out at 127 with the top up- the limiter did not kick in. It was holding at 127 for different reasons (aero? raw hp?). With the top down it stops at around 115 mph, obviously for aerodynamic reasons. Going downhill on the 73 toll way south to San Diego, I've managed to get 125 with the top down- but these were some steep ass hills man, I found my speed dropping from 125 to 95 on the way back up. Have to try it with the top up- see if weight helps me fall >smile.gif>
I live in the UK, and have a 2.0GT Jap import with speed limiter which kicks in at @115mph... How do I disable it?
Not sure what kinda engine you have, but My 95 Celica with the 5 spd 7aFe engine I hit 125 on the Interstate before slamming the brakes cause some dumb*^%$ trucker decided to cut me off, so I can tell you that all you need to do is get a long stretch of road a friend to ride behind you at normal speed and someone to scout ahead of you and go. Try shifting the auto yourself at about 5750 so that the car has time to shift while your still on the throttle so it cant hit the revlimiter.

Also check your tires and brakes if you screw up I promise you it will HURT...

shifting the auto yourself?

Yeah from 1 to 2 to D or whatever, You can manually shift an automatic.

hit 135 easily with my ST, and was afraid to go anyfurthur on H-rated tires..

yea, I have a '94 ST, about 161K miles on it and a lil bit ago my car got up to 120, maybe more. ( my friend was driving and pissed off at me >biggrin.gif> ) But yea, I don't think I have the limiter, and my clutch was actually working at the time. (damned clutch) Even though that doesn't have much to do with speed, if anything at all, I'm still pissed that it's busted. LOL. ANyway...main points:
My car:
'94 ST
120mph.
