Looking for Dallas,texas 6gen owners - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #82478 82 posts Started by chino771
As some of the dallas owners know hondas run down here but i say lets show them what 6gens can do? So if your in the dallas fort worth area come to the china market in arlington on wensdays at 9 pm
There are only a few people from this area that are active on here, most have moved on or just dont show....trust me. Now, if the meets in Austin start up again, I'll see you there (those are worth making the drive for). Not trying to discourage you, but I think at most we had 5-6 at one of our old meets here. Again, that was about 3-4 years ago.
damn that far i would go if more people went . Maybe set something up?

If it was a big group I'd go, but I'm done with trying to put things together up here.....gave up on that a long time ago. The only way you'd get a big turnout is if it was an "all gen" celica get together....I tried to get one going, but it was a flop, too many "i'll be there", but not showing. Not saying it cant be done though.

true , i was one of them that said i was going to go but couldn't go at the last moment kindasad.gif . Maybe make it all toyota ? idk

Trust me there were alot more than yourself, no worries though...an all yota/scion/lexus meet would be more fesiable though(lets face it, they are all toyotas in one way or another) So, question is, does the op feel like putting something together?

it would be nice if there was some kind of meet around in east texas. No other celica enthusiasts in my area kindasad.gif
I wouldn't object to a mini-meet up again of some sort. I haven't posted or been active on here in a long while so Idk if I've potentially missed anything.

I haven't been active on here in a long while now and haven't been in touch with you guys. Though I love my 6GC I rarely have time for it. My ST205 front end is still sitting in my back yard and haven't done anything to it. I'm planning on going to the Dallas Auto Show though if any of you guys want to join.

Is this a honda meet or are your trying to arrange a 6gc meet?

A mini meet would still be cool

I travel through DFW and Arlington every few months. Though I'd be in a rental or parent's Avalon (the Celica lives in Atlanta), I'd still like to see what some other people are doing with their beauties when I am in town. Keep us informed when this happens, eh?

I have no desire to go to a meet just for the porpise of showing honda guys what a gen 6 can do. This sounds like a great reason for idiots showing off and drawing uneeded attention. Now, wanna meet, greet and hang out (how we used to) im good with. Other than that, i'm hitting the roads solo.....save for austin meets.
Ya I don't care about proving anything to any Hondas or anything.
If there is one in Austin and I can get my car running at 100%, I'm there.

I wldnt oppose to one in Dallas either, I'm planning an engine swap soon so hopefully I get to show it off to fellow celica members.
any one up for a mini meet next week - maybe a wednesday 21st around 7pm. just throwing out a suggestion. Location TBD (suggestion - Arlington)
ive got family in town that week.....
I'm down for a meet if it's on the weekends all though I no longer am a yota owner but ill bring my tdi
im down, but im up in The Colony, tx near Lewisville,
Ooooooooooooook...The guys I know: It would be great to meet up again. The guys I dont know: It would be great to meet you for the first time. The OP: Dont just post and never follow up, it lowers the moral for the rest of us.....For everyone, I have been scouting locations in mid DFW lately. Looking for something with space, but since we've had a warm winter, it means hot summer....which means less "free" spaces sooner......if ya get me. I'm almost tempted to try this one more time....

you still have my number right? shoot me a txt if you would like to plan something. I'm usually free during weekdays after work around 5pm. Weekends i'm free as long as I know the week before. I don't come on the forum as often as I like, but if you guys end up planning something let me know. You guys are always welcome to use my place in Plano (plenty of parking and there's a small park now in the neighborhood)
I dont think i ported it over when I switched phones. Its possible its saved on the SIM card, somewhere. But PM it over to me anyhow, as it seems everyone has changed their number at least once.
Lol wheres the china market? You mean where all the Asian businesses are at over around Collins St. and Pioneer Pkwy?
Lets do it turbine run sounds nice
I was looking at turbine run, but even for me its 1.5 hours away. With the costs of fuel I dont think many would show.
So DFW guys, what are you good with....a cruise or a meet-n-chill?
I'd be good with either, I have never been to any kind of meet before so don't really know which one to vote for
It'll be a meet and greet at the Parks Mall in Arlington....one of those fine dining establishments will be our meet place. Time still TBD, probably late May. Guys prefer weekday, weekend, afternoon, evening?
On a side note, was cruising through old pics and uncovered this.....
that would be cool im usually free weekends
whats up with this dont let this one die like so man of the dfw meets
