GEN3 3S alternator bracket - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #83081 8 posts Started by OOBE
Am I gonna be fine with this bracket?

Even though this is for MR2s, do you guys see any problem with it on the Celica? I'm going to use the stock JDM MR2 Turbo alternator.

the MR2 alternator is in a different location to the celica alternator.

the mr2 alt goes behind the 3sgte instead of infront...you might have room, the compound charged 3sgte uses the mr2 alt bracket i believe

Thanks wink.gif Yes I do have one, please contact me if you're interested..
I'm pretty sure you need the MR2 crank pulley also. I had one somewhere but I'll have to dig for it if I still have it. The celica (5sfe and 3sgte) crank pulleys have the thin belt for the power steering and the fat belt for the alt/comp. The mr2 crank pulley takes the two fat belts I think. If I can find mine I'll take a picture of it. I might have thrown it away because someone chipped the edges off of it taking it off, so it needs to be balanced if you want it.
