6gc vs integra 4eyes - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #8317 30 posts Started by poix
hmm i remember i was posting about how some people think 6gc is a integra wannabe, and ppl in the forums here said that the lowest model integra, hmm i belive LS, is slower than the celica st. is that true??

i personally tested out with my friends intergra LS. both auto. and the result..... integra beat me about a car.

hmm?????
My ST (Automatic) with an Intake, UP and Exhaust couldn't beat a 5SPD LS.
Any 3rd gen Teg will beat any 6th gen Celica... regardless of what people claim. With equally skilled drivers, stock for stock, mod for mod... the Teg simply has a better chassi design, suspension, drivetrain, and powertrain (as far as performance goes)...

A while back when I had only intake, exhaust, s-afc, and underdrive pulley, I raced my fair share of integras. I was able to beat them, but of course, they were stock. I'm running a GT also.
I've smoked my Friend's 96 Integra and I think it was LS with 5speed and oh yeaaa he had some performance Suspensions......( he CUT the SPRINGS!!) and subs in the trunk.

Sold my Celica....
integras will not beat 6th gen.... unless you are runnin an st.... then the higher model integra will getcha.... the person i bought my 6th gen from bought a new integra and said it was slow as hell compared to her 6th gen

only the gs-r or type r can take a 6th gen.... thats if its a 98 or newer model.... any older and the gs-r has lower torque rating and high hp.... so off the line the 6th gen would kill.... but im not sure about after 2nd gear

New Toyota project coming soon...
A while back I was planning on selling the Celica to buy a 95 LS I came across.
The car was in perfect condition, looked and felt like it was brand new.

Yea well after I test drove it I realized it was nothing compared to the Celi.

I mean it felt really good, but the engine didn't have the response the celi has so I said forget it.

I still want it but no way am I trading my 6th gen for it.
I doubt I will beat mustangs and turbo stealths with that Teg.

This debate is ridiculously true. Unfortunately the low power Celicas 6g that were sold in the states were pitifull. That is the reason why Celica has not been sold much in the states and is now being scraped. The idiots in Toyota let the hondas take over with their lighter and more tunable civics and integras. I had an ST206 Curren JDM for the past 5 years with no mods (180 bhp with 98octane petrol) and i was only beaten once by a fully tuned integra and by a WRX. The JDM Celis are effortlessly comparable with the type R hondas and not the plain models.
Nontheless, i also have an ST205 GT4 now (no mods yet) and Hondas do not even dare race me. I am waiting for the time when i race a tuned Evo or WRX and get beaten before i start tuning the GT4.

Sad but true; the US spec Celica is just not powerful with its 3S-FE engine. In every other country the Celica was sold with the 3S-GE engine with about 50 bhp more.
>cwm13.gif> I dont know but my Celi kick @$$...Insane 1st gear goes up to 40, then when second shifts in it pulls hard again to about 55-60, third picks up to 90 with ease......which i dont get to unless im on the highway.

I have never lost to an Integra, and I didn't get one because it lagged bad at high speed... >thumbsdown.gif>
The Celi was about 1/4 a car ahead when a turbo stealth wanted to race...
A mustang went down on the highway to about 80 or 90...

I think the 6g celica rules...

yea celicas are not integra wannabes. integras' lights looks dull compare to celicas, and celicas looks so much more desiel than integras.

hmm i want my gt4 so i can burn all the integras
Coomer: The celi has a lot of secret Mexican Tuning >biggrin.gif>
The head is tuned up, performance camshafts........that's all i'll say about the engine >tongue.gif>
Has a different transmission... >rolleyes.gif>

hmm.....Kwanza...I have a truly Insane car...I just don't see why people complain so much about the 5S, I like it...that's all I was saying.

If you want to see the street machine check it out in my registry. >smile.gif>

I've raced only one (that I know of) Gen 3 integra. At the time he had cold air intake, greddy header, and the greddy evo exhaust, with 17inch wheels. I had the weapon r intake, centerforce clutch, and a custom exhaust. At the end of all the races he was at my rear bumper. We raced 3 times, and all 3 times it came out the same he was still at my rear bumper.

Would the 17s make that much difference, because nearly everyone here thinks that the teng would kill

Yeah, my car kills Teg's up to LS, civics, CRX's...the whole bit. I alwasy have trouble with those 3.8L GM sedans such as the newer grand am's and grand prix's...ouch. But my frst gear goes to 40, second to about 75, and third to 100...then i slam the overdrive button on and let it slowly get to 120.
