TRD Steering Wheel Worth it? - 6G Celicas Forums

Depends. Do you want to give up having your airbag? I personally would find one the 3 post wheels from the 7th gen Celica.

also, its not a orgininal TRD steering wheel.

keep it OEM.

just FYI that's not a genuine TRD steering wheel(if that's what you think if not my bad) that's just a steering wheel with a TRD logo on it. in the description "Red Stitch Racing Steering wheel with TRD Logo"

ain't gonna argue there, 1k can go a long way especially in our cars. but also don't want the guy to buy the 70 dollar one and he gets it and he finds out its not genuine. i myself and very happy w/ my 7th gen leather one i got for like 250 or so. but to each there own.

haha seriously. our cars are over a decade old. To put it simple I wouldn't buy a trd steering wheel unless it was around $500

I'd much rather the red stitched ss3 3 spoke steering wheel. Flows with the interior of the car much better.

yea, i got mine from an MR2. and get the OEM red stitch shift knob. done

To an extent you can say that about any car, regardless if it's new or not. The joy of the older cars though, is that all the part's prices have leveled out. Provided you don't trash whatever it is you buy, you can turn around and sell it for close to if not what you paid for it. I personally don't see myself going any further than buying fog lights and redoing my exhaust. Unless you race for money, guess could say modifying your car would be pointless. Then what's the fun in having a car? tongue.gif

My 99 GT came with one that looks just like this, except the leather is ALL black and obviously has the toyota symbol in the center not TRD.

you can also get 3 post wheels from matrix and corolla but you have to pay attention to the leather wrap part around the wheel some have it some dont

Yup, that's my wheel exactly. The center emblem update is nice on the 7th gen, but not enough to justify me spending money on it. I love the factory one. Plus having the leather package makes a world of difference.
