Hey, group.

I want to start fabricating some bits n pieces here n there. I've a few ideas but none worth the material yet. And I've not attempted it before.

I would like to see what's been done, or tried.

Why would you have your enclosure recessed like that? Your not giving the diaphragms suspension the proper clearance it needs to give a full sound. What are those, JL Audio 12W1V2-4? 10W1V2-4? I know they're on JL's lower end, but they still need room to breath. I'm not hatin, just giving my professional opinion. I used to install systems, nitrous kits, keyless crap, remote crap ... all that stuff at a local shop for a couple year just out of high school. You know, until the owner decided to burn it down for the insurance money and go to jail. I'm still really into audio though.

he probably did it so he could close his trunk with the rear deck still in place is my bet....
