there are fakes for a lot of big brand names out there. this has been going on for a while especially with BOVs.
i put more trust in buying used parts from japan (less chance of being fake) than new parts from aftermarket parts dealers (who are out there for profit) unless they are legitimate dealers for 'said' brand name. this sort of thing pisses me off!

that is exactly reason I do not buy engine parts on e-bay but ONLY directly form Japan... You never know what you get and if bit lower price in fact means you have crap copy that worth half (not talking about quality).
