We really do need some "assistants" to take care of the spam problem. Since it seems Coomer isn't returning any time soon, to implement some kind of anti-bot precautions on new members.

For example the newest spammer posted like 15 times in each subforum, the above system could stop them at say like 10-15 altogether. Sort of a flood control, similar to the one we have with the search function.

^depend why capabilities the moderators have ATM. Could be simple or very complex.
If its a bit doing it, a capture code to sign up would fix it.
Or like you said, new members have to wait 2 weeks till they can post etc.
But yeah, in the meantime some more moderators just to delete some posts would be handy

They can get past the "captchas" I've seen it happen. Best solution would be that the first post of a new member has to be approved by a moderator. That and a couple of new mods that're regulars would be nice too.

Sadly we (moderators) don't have the power to add more Mods nor do we have the ability/tools to make it more difficult for spammers to register, thats all in the power of Coomer our admin. From what i've heard he's not to active on facebook if your trying to contact him, but try his other website pedalroom
