Soon. Can't say exactly when.

I put in a spacer in the front to see how 20mm looks. I like it. Needs more spacing in the rear though.

Side angle:

Front quarter:

Rear quarter: (wheel is slightly turned to the left)

I also installed my two extra gauges finally. Took power from the 12V cig lighter, ground at the block, vacuum at the IM (gonna have to get a vacuum manifold by the looks of it).

Prosport amber/white 52mm performance gauges. Electric Oil Pressure and Mechanical Boost:

There's also an Innovate MTX-L wideband gauge next to them which is connected to the Megasquirt for datalogging and EGO correction purposes.

How ironic I was just browsing through spacers yesterday and wondered what would get the celica lookin right. Looks good. Nice gauges too, nice addition. Keep it coming man

Thanks, while that all depends on your drop, wheel and tire size..

my setup consists of tein springs, 195/60/15 tires on 15x6.5 7th gen GT wheels.

20mm front, 20mm rear and I think I'm going to get 30mm for the rear because it still has a lot of space.

How much lower are you sitting with the Teins?

Not sure since I've never had stock height. PO decided it was a good idea to cut the springs. I put on the teins a little after I got the car.

Oh ok. Yeah never understood why people cut the springs. I'd be afraid something would screw up bc of that. Car looks good dude. Gonna stay with the 15" rims or eventually go bigger?

Gonna stay 15" for now, cheaper tires and a more comfortable ride

Boosted. Clutch slips. Update coming soon.

Feels nice, aside from the horribly bad slipping clutch.

Not gonna waste cash for a 6psi dyno on a bad clutch haha, they will come soon.

1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold1994 Celica GT Liftback
After the clutch and boost increase, then dyno. tongue.gif

Oh definitely

The FMIC ended up fitting almost how I wanted it to. I might re-do one bend so that both sides are showing the pipes. Pics of what I mean coming soon.

Looks real nice with the spacers, I regret not jumping on a pair. What do those alloys weigh? Mine are the same size, 17.5lb.

'97 ST\ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+[sold 10/18]'93 MX-5LE
Haven't weighted them, but they are definitely much lighter than the previous 17's that were on there. The change in acceleration when N/A definitely dictated so.

I think they're the usual 15's, I'd say around 16-17lbs is about right. MAYBE a little less, because most people who get these wheels around here is due to their light weight, apparently.

Here's some pics for you guys:

Thinking about slightly changing the piping on the left side so that instead of a coupler you can see a pipe, because I'm kinda OCD like that.

Don't feel bad, I'm the same way.

Looks like your oil filter was able to fit without a relocation kit? I'm wondering if it might get too hot being that close to the downpipe though?

I don't like it. Even my sister in law told me to change it haha.

It fits. Depending with what eyes you look at it with, the only downside (maybe upside because I'm forced to use a quality filter) to it is that the ONLY filter than will fit is the OEM toyota one. The other filters I've found have a protruding thread and therefore don't fit between the oil cooler and the wastegate port tube, but that's only in my case. My recommendation is that you get a manifold properly fabbed to not need to have a custom wastegate flange fabbed up that will take up almost all of the space.

Found that out the hard way. I drained the oil and I'm stuck without no filter. Will have to get one tomorrow kindasad.gif

Yeah, when I had my 5sfte one of the only things I hated about it was having to relocate the filter, I had so many fricken leaks from those lines! Search ebay for those toyota filters, they have them by the case of 10 and it works out to like $4 a filter. There are some aftermarket filter companies that make a shorter filter than the OEM though. The brand we used when I worked at big O tires used a real short one for toyota's (brand was performax, part # was PO-38 or PO-39, can't remember) I think the Wix filter is slightly shorter than the OEM filter too and is a good quality filter, so you might try that.

The Denso filter I got last time was considerably shorter than the OEM filter.

2001 Miata LS 5-speed
There's two OEM filters. YZZF1 and F2, I think. One is longer and the other is shorter. I use the shorter one already.

Will look into the other filters. Right now I've tried Driveworks, Purolator Classic, PureOne, and Fram Ultra. None of them fit because of the same issue, or they're just too long.

how much HP you running with this build ?
No idea yet, haven't gone to the dyno.

1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold1994 Celica GT Liftback
Cleaned up the cooling fan wiring and installed one of the OEM fans back on and left the other slim fan there. Car cools a lot better now. I also backflushed with a hose and put in another bottle of Peak Radiator Flush for 2 days. I'll be draining it and backflushing it again tomorrow to run straight distilled water with a bottle of Redline Water Wetter to see how it goes.

I also ordered a Competition Stage 4 6-puck clutch to replace my dead clutch. This means dyno soon.

I'm looking for a set of busted MR2 5S-FE mounts to measure to see if I can use the Speedsource full poly mounts. Engine is still a little loose and whacks a bit upon hard shifting even with both front and rear inserts. I got the transmission and passenger mounts brand new too.

Ahh it won't be long now!

Water has a boiling temperature of 212 degrees, with a pressurized cooling system that might be up around 220-225, but that's still not leaving much head room if it starts to overheat even a little. I would probably add at least some coolant, if even only to achieve an 80/20 mix, that'll still bring your boiling point to at least 235-240, much safer IMO. Not to mention that water freezes at 32 degrees and winter is just around the corner... Coolant is also added to prevent corrosion, which if you are having to flush the system then the corrosion process has already started.

Just my opinion, do what you will with it tongue.gif

He lives on some tropical island, no such thing as winter. tongue.gif The idea is that the water transfers the heat better than glycol, I'd use 70/30 or so myself.

2001 Miata LS 5-speed
looks great man!!!
ahh.....makes me miss the good ole 5sfte. lots of good times running that setup, and killed SOOOOOOO many naysayers in the process.
cant wait to see your progress as your boost addiction becomes stronger..lol
this is gonna be a blast to watch!
