Changed the bulb and fuses checked. Any suggestions on what may be wrong?

It could be the trigger on the latch. Do your interior lights go on when the hatch/trunk is open?
Maybe the wiring came disconnected?

Lol yes it's flipped on. No, the interior lights don't turn on. Sounds like its the trunk latch switch. Any idea how I check this?
Found a black wire which broke off next to the latch. If ur looking from outside the car, in it's on the left side when u look down on it. Probably the culprit:)

Yes that black wire would be it haha
Just pop the back panel off and everything is right there

The trunk light is grounded through the cable that pops the trunk... take off your interior plastic to get to the latch. There is a small switch in there, but i've also noticed that when I take my cable off to work on the latch the light goes off and dims when I move it at all. So check that.... something grounding with that pop cable.
That is at least how mine works anyway.

Didnt even know people payed attention to what section stuff was posted in lol, I know I don't.
If you don't want to drounf it back to that steel cable that pops the trunk, im sure you could find some other sort of ground in the trunk, or a spot you could ground it to.
