If anybody has access to the 7afe's transmission off of the car could you measure the bellhousing for me. I need to pick up another transmisson and my truck is broke down so I'm trying to figure out if I can get it in the trunk of my 98 corrolla. It will fit in the trunk if I can get it past the 17 1/2 inch opening to the trunk.

I bet it'll fit, you may need to angle it in under the rear deck a bit when going in. If not, pull the front seat out and put down some cardboard, plenty of room there!

I'm thinking it will too. I've been eyeing the transmission and then looking at the trunk, looks like it'll go. I'll find out in about 8 hours whether it will or not. It sucks that I bought a truck just for times like this and the one time I really need it the damn thing breaks down.

I bet if you pop out the rear bench it would also sit back there.

Measures 25" from mount to mount, 13" tall at 90* relative to the mounts. So angle it into the trunk, should fit fine.

My guess is no, it won't fit the trunk hole. I would just pull the front seat and put something down.
It will be much easier to get in and out.
JDM guy made me do it.
i picked up my 7a motor and set it where the passanger seat was. Plenty of room.
Thanks for the measurements and advice guys!! They didn't have the transmission ready today so I have to wait until Monday to go pick it up.

It fit in the trunk with no problem what-so-ever. I could've fit two of them in there if I had to.
