Imo, new cars in general don't have a nice feeling when pressing the clutch.. well, not only the clutch. They all feel.... feelingless. There's not much feedback like in our car.

Had the "Is that an Integra or Supra?" query thrust upon me yesterday, first time in my four years of ownership. Two teenagers in a Cavalier, air scoop and chrome wheels. I had him repeat the question three times whilst lending a quizzical look, in hopes that he'd realize the stupidity of his question.

Should've told them it was an ultra rare Supra prototype you had imported.

Just got a question what model of Toyota is that and the guys gave me the most wierd look I've ever got when I told them this is the celica gotta love our cars!

All Hilarious....you know you have an celica, when the car next to you follows you to the gas station and tells you "nice supra" LOL

You know you own a celica when you are on 6gc asking where to get an exhaust and all you get is the "Greddy is Rare" answer so you have to refer to the how to build a custom exhaust threads that are all over the place.

You know you own a celica when others people ask what kinda car you got and you don't get an awesome reaction as if you said a Supra, RX7, STI, EVO, etc. - all you get is "Oh..." at this point they dont care anymore.

You know you own a celica when the best description to describe your gen when people dont know for sure is "you know the one that had 4 headlights, not the latest one, and not the flip lights one".

You know you own a celica that when someone actually shows interest in your car, they have to go to the back of your car and check your emblem to see what kind of car it is cus they have no idea what it is.

You know you own a celica, when you spot other celicas in your area and they are not so great so you self-proclaim yours as the best one for your area - if that even matters or is even an accomplishment?

You know you own a celica, and appreciate it more once you learn about it here on this forum, you build it, learn to love it, know that its a bad ass car, but at the end of your fun journey and in reality, you want a newer car that don't break down and has more modern potential to it.

You know you own a celica and are on 6gc when you always get "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON" so you have to defend yourself and say "I DID, BUT I'M NOT GETTING THE RIGHT RESULTS".

YOu know you own a celica, and you are on 6gc, and been a member for so long, that everyone who posts now, you don't know anyone on this forum anymore

You can EASILY identify the differences in 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm bolts

And when 10, 12, and 14mm sockets are ALMOST the only tools you have our when working on her

I've lurked here longer than most of you guys...but I've been contributing for way less but I remember all of the old members and when Coomer actually posted frequently.

But trd's post summed up Celica ownership very well.

Yes ^ i remember you, you've been almost gone for a while, good to know you visit still. and yea Coomer (site owner/founder) used to actually posts frequently and was more active those days till he handed it over to the moderators.

nobody noticed but SMAAY has actually been here since 03, its only until recently, I've noticed he's been more active the last year or so maybe cus all those cars he has. but good to know hes still around but impressively, hes down for Toyota Big Time, in fact he was quite more active in newcelica.org cus Im there too for my other car, but I noticed he posts here more than there now. I actually consider him the Presure2 these days with Manny being inactive now.
