I didn't have the opportunity to be hostile to the cop. I got a $200 ticket for no city sticker while it was parked in front of my house yesterday while I was at work.
After late fees, a new sticker will cost me 150... So, a $350 donation to the wonderful City of Chicago. For a car that will only be used until spring.
On the funnier side of things, it took 4 2x4s to get her into my garage, and I still scraped.

The car is technically registered out in Winthrop Harbor b/c when we bought it, Stacy was still out at her mom's place. The rules state that even if the car is registered outside of the city, if the owner is a city resident and the car is used in Chicago, it needs a sticker.
I love the area that I'm in, but this helps my decision to move out to the burbs.
