More power to you man. I spent the better part of a couple months trying to find one that worked. It seems the ones that work no one wants to sell. I've bought 3 that "supposedly" worked only to find out that they were almost as bad as mine. Your best bet, if your really adamant about keeping the factory one and making it work, spend the $50 and buy one from Toyota. You'll save your self a lot of time, money and strife. Or you can just leave it up and unplug the motor. I've done it on other cars and I swear you don't even notice it's up after like a week. You can stare at it all day and your eyes will go right by it lol.
