I swapped in a 3sgte in a 94 celica gt all the wiring done correctly (i hope) and now it cranks but wont start i hae no spark and my injectors r not firing any help would greatly be appreciated ...all lights work on dash so i dont think its the ecu any help would reallly help thanks
Have you checked your main EFI fuse to make sure it's not blown? Do you have power at your coil and injectors? Also, how did you do your harness. Did you extend it to go through the firewall in the correct location, or did you cut a new hole?

I replaced the efi fuse...... i cut a hole in the firewall and i added the wires from the ea1 plug to the engine harness b cause i did not have the fuse box that mounts to the rad but i jumped the fuel pump relay and im definately getting fuel
Have you checked to see if you're getting power at your injectors and your coil?

No i havent done that yet ill try that and see what happens
I got it started but it wont start with the 3sgte ecu i got it started with the 5sfe ecu do i need to repin the 3sgte ecu im using the 3sgte wiring harness i dont think u should have to repin the ecu cause it came from the motor or is it possible i got a bad ecu
its possible that you got a bad ECU, but im thinking that you need to re-pin for the 3S ECU. i know the injectors are in the same location, but sensors like G1 might be different. you not having any spark is telling me that the crank pos sensor in the distributor is not reading right.

It sounds like you may not be getting a cylinder position signal (cam or crank position) to the ecu. Verify that you are getting 12v to the coil and to the injectors when the key is on. If so I would suspect either a fried ecu or a cylinder position signal issue.

It is odd that it will start up on the 5sfe ecu. Look at the pinouts for both ecus and see the locations of the g and ne pins. This may hint to your issue.
Do u have the write up for the ecu wiring i have no idea what goes where the mechanical part of the swap is easy but the wiring is a pain in the a$$

here you go sir

What I think when you think I care
I had a someone do my wiring and everything seems ok but it still wont kick over i think i need an ecu does anyone know how to test to see if the ecu is bad or does anyone have an extra 1 laying around that they want to get rid of if so lmk leave a message with ur # im tryin to get this car on the road
What Gen 3sgte did you swap into your car?
are you sure your timing is correct? that'll so it too...
Sorry havent been on here much its a 3rd gen and the problem is solved the place i got my motor from gave me the wrong ecu i ordered a new ecu and it fired right up im starting to clean everything up and almost ready to drive it
kick ass! i knew it was the ECU

Car now runs and drives but its throwing a code 54 i have a front mount setup and i put a pin in the coolant sensor amd the light didnt go off i tried reading up on how to get it out but there are no real answers i need to know exactly what to do to get rid of this light any help would be appreciated
I thought you just had to bridge the conectors..

What I think when you think I care
do this at the ECU connectors. This worked on my car
