Does your dome light stay on a while after door is closed? Like keyhole ring does.
No, but would be nice if it would...

I'm actually making a little circuit that does just that. If it works out well, I will post instructions.

Please do. I was just talking about trying to find a way to get this done a couple of weeks ago with ricochet1490.

You don't need circuits. You only need one wire smile.gif

Maybe I will give some pics and instructions.
I'd love the delay for power windows after turning off the engine.... smile.gif Dome light doesn't bother me, but would be nice if you can share that with us smile.gif

WARNING!/CAUTION!/ATTENTION!

As we all know japanese cars "are all different" smile.gif You propably don't have same wiring and sunroof controlling system that I have. So it can be that this doesn't work in your car.

My car has this kind of Sunroof Dome Light System (SDLS):

Cut the white/green wire and put connector in it:

Attach new wire for your SDLS's white/green wire

and other end to keyhole ring's green wire

You're done! It works!

that looks nice, easy to do.

would be nice if you remotely open your car, the dome light also will light up.
Done and working!

The power windows do work for ~60 seconds after you cut it off? At least mine do... So nice too cause sometimes I leave them or my sunroof open and don't remember to close them until way after its off and the keys are out. laugh.gif

Negative, the power windows and exterior lights remained powered up after the ignition is turned off until a door is opened up, then all power is lost.

Ive got the door module out of a Lincoln Towncar that I was gonna wire into my celica but I never did.

My windows/moon roof stay powered up for like 45-60 seconds or until a door is opened up, whichever happens first. The lights will stay on until a door is opened.

Ed, what does your module do? Keep the dome light on and dim it out after a certain period of time?

really? is that 60 second delay perhaps just for the sunroof models? Because my power windows are cut when I switch the key from ON to ACC - no delay, no nothing kindasad.gif
