while changing my alternator on my ST, the clip broke that holds a little sensor into the block.....i have no clue what it goes to as no lights came on in the dash to suggest something was wrong. its a little sensor maybe fingernail sized.....any help is appreciated!

Is it next to the oil filter? If so thats your oil pressure sensor. Little red oil lamp in the lower left hand of the gauge cluster is what it controls. The clip on mine is broken aswell, i just stuck it back on and it hasnt fallen out sense.
