Just looking to see what other members that have the S-54 tranny and what type power they are running to it
right now I'am 330 + WHP and know problems with a Kasa LSD , but upgrading tires so that will mean more kick-back to the tranny !

ive read 300whp is max you'd want for a s54 transmission. After that it just starts to wear down the transmission. But take it from the experts who have first hand delt with turbo applications on s series tranny.

i'd still like to see anyone who has proof of the s54 failing with the turbo motor. Breaking axles is one thing, but someone breaking the internals is another.

I've been running the s54 first with a turbo setup, then with the 3rd gen swap, since like 2006. been @ or over 300whp for years.
as long as your not launching hard, the tranny will hold up fine.
if you launch hard, you'll start snapping axles, and other things..lol
hard launches and shifts under power is what kills the s54.

Whats the point having the 300bhp if u cant launch it what mods u got to get 300bhp that the figure im lookong to get on my gt4
